Black Diamonds

August 2, 2014 By Erika Leigh 2 Comments

Shedding, molting, unbecoming
Layers fly off as I’m dreaming
Letting be, I’m just allowing
Running with the truth of heart
Underneath, a creative shadow
Pushed into a dark tomorrow
But not so heavy in the shallows
of a cellular re-start
When darkness now comes quickly calling
All I feel is my soul beating
Into the body of my being
that once was so split apart
Time was turning, aching, reeling
Until, awakened, I was seeing
Time is me and I am freeing
the shackles ‘round my imprisoned art
Who is that being of dark and light
She is now fully within my sight
A view that brings my heart delight
That we shall never be apart
